Pritika, the 8 year old girl who played Krishna in the Ras Leela moments after she was hurt in the bomb blast
that killed 6 devotees and injured more than 50 in August 2006 on Krishna Janmasthami Day.
Thangjam Manorama was found death after she was apprehended by troops of Assam Rifles from her residence the previous
night, sparking of unprecedented uprising for the removal of Armed Forces Special Powers Act. The sequence of the uprising
reproduced in the 81 minute acclaimed documentary AFSPA,1958.

Karigi means Why. This is my tribute to the victims
of the ISKCON bomb blast and sort of an initiative to promote dialogue for peaceful resolutions for the multitude of problems,
facing my small, tiny but beautiful state, Manipur.
The Film, AFSPA,1958, materialized only because of my involvment in broadcast journalism. it is indeed a rare previledge
to be credited of producing an important document of the Manipuri people's spontaneous uprising against a draconian
Act.
